What I Do
Artist
I paint landscapes using a variety of Mediums I combine Digital, (iPad &iPhone) Printmaking and sketch and paint… My direction at the moment is a combination of some and mix of all. My process is traditional often painted on site or later from sketches,studies and memories. My background is traditional painting, illustration and graphic design… so I guess this explains my current work.. or not.
Ipad art Classes and Talks
Occasionally I conduct “iPad & Art” days and also give talks on digital art. I have run”iPad & Art” courses, days and talks for Artists, Artist groups Galleries, Students, Schools, Councils and Seniors. Contact me with any questions.
Do you sell your work
Yes i do, please contact with any questions, I have had regular exhibitions including several solo shows including a Regional Gallery Show, my work has also been published in several magazines and books and online throughout the years. I sell prints and also single pieces.
About Mic Rees
Rees has been experimenting with digital work since the early 90’s both in fine arts and commercially. Rees’s recent work is painted mainly on site on both on his Iphone and ipad and traditional sketchpad. The work is produced using various painting apps, the work is then printed on archival cotton rag paper using Gi Clee process, and shared via social media
Trained in fine art majoring in traditional painting, Rees’s work still maintains a traditional feel only it’s painted digitally.
Rees studied Fine Art majored in painting and was awarded first place in drawing in his final year. He then studied Graphic Design and teaches and runs a successful Graphic Design business.
Rees has had Regional Gallery solo show, several solo shows and been published in magazines, books and inAustralia, US and the Uk, as well as online. Rees also experiments in projection art.
